GUN COLLECTION : RARE GUN COLLECTIONS : VERY RARE GUNS !
WHAT TH . . .

Pay $20,000 a set for revolvers that don't work ???

Others have ...
and maybe that's because THESE Civil War firearms are "One of a kind" -

gun collection Many years in the making, an astonishing collection of wood-crafted replicas lovingly created by retired gunsmith Robert A Talbot.

Described by experts as "priceless", this famous gun collection has been featured on TV in the popular ABC Collectors program.

Producing his exquisite, perfect replicas in limited numbers has meant a mere handful of collectors around the world could acquire them.

Samuel Colt is generally considered the inventor of the modern day revolver and at age sixteen, Sam's first
attempt was a wooden revolver. The KD Lewitzka Collection of Talbot replicas depicts the evolution of
the revolver pistol
, having NINE of the first and most significant Colts made.

In the Samuel Colt Revolver Collection :
Patterson 1836 | Walker 1847 | Dragoon 1848 | Navy 1851 | Army 1860 | Army Conversion | Peacemaker | Frontier

A total of 14 replicas make up the collection, which for the FIRST time is being presented For Sale by the Owner
(Offers invited. See Lewitzka web site ...details below)

The entire Lewitzka Collection is a remarkable set of 14 actual size classic handguns, all fully operational,
complete with moving parts and a complement of realistic accessories.
All function as the originals ... the exception being that they do not discharge and fire bullets.

Only 43 fully working, exact scale replicas - complete with display cases and accessories have been made by a
dedicated gunsmith now in his eighties. (see video tribute)
The Lewitzka Gun Collection is unique, the only collection boasting one of each model of the firearms crafted by Robert A. Talbot.

Few collectors have been able to acquire more than one or two pieces of his incredibly detailed work.

About GUN COLLECTIONS - OzPianoman says:
Antiques of any type are a challenge, but being familiar with old musical instruments I can let buyers know what to look for.

With antique firearms it's different. About Guns I know nothing !
Simply happened upon a Collector who didn't mention his collection.

Gun Collection - Patterson Set

Antique guns? ...Ken emailed me about pianos!
And I imagined "Classic Arms" might be a hotel or a guest house somewhere;
What has since emerged is quite a story!

Careful now, you might just become hooked on the collection and - like me, inspired by its potential.

Ken's antique guns collection - finely crafted civil war and other handguns, celebrates decades of stupendous work by his now elderly Gunsmith friend.

Strange it seemed, that an antique collection of famous Colt revolvers might consist of Wooden(?) replicas of the most used pistols of the civil war years.
Truth is however, opting in his youth to simply carve a handgun in wood - Samuel Colt actually broke New Ground in the firearms industry.
From that viewpoint, Talbot's creation of Working Wooden Masterpieces is entirely appropriate.
And ... dare I say it ?
This is an ongoing work of art that will never, can never be duplicated !

In addition to Colt's army model 1860 and the 1851 navy colt, this rare collection of colt revolvers includes .45 Peacemaker, the Dragoon - plus some old Remington and Webley handguns completing this fabulous collection of 14 rare firearms.

All are contained within superbly hand crafted display boxes - and each has what were the original accessories.
